Duplicate photos app

Not sure how it happened but my XR has duplicated my photo app. I’d like to delete one but I’m afraid both apps will be deleted and all my photos will be gone. Yes, my photos have been backed up to the cloud but I’m still scared…they’re my photos. Has Anyone experienced this before?? S. O. S.

You can have duplicates. If you drag something out of the App Library onto a Home Screen page.. and there is already an icon on another Home Screen, it will leave both icons.

You can't actually delete the Photos app anyways, so should not be any harm to delete or 'remove' one of the icons.

If it makes you feel any better, I just added 3 Photos app icons to my Home Screens and then removed all but one. All my photos are still there
