How do I find out how many gigabytes are on my computer?

I have a lot of music stored in my library on the iMac and need to know how many gigabytes of space my device has

Seeing Internal Storage Capacity:

Reveal the Storage in Disk Utility, How much total storage you have depends on if you are using a partition, or the whole disk. So, view your volume in Disk Utility.

  1. Click: on the Desktop
  2. Click: Go menu
  3. Select: Utilities
  4. Select: Disk Utility
  5. Click: The disk volume you are using (shown by default)
  6. View: Capacity
