Apple Studio display won't update to 15.5

I have a weird one, my Apple Studio display won't update to firmware 15.5. I have the latest OS 12.4 and have been on the phone with support. We tried restarting, rebooting, and booting into safe mode but to no avail. I even unplugged unnecessary peripherals to see if there was a conflict. I am currently waiting on Apple support to contact their engineers and have a scheduled call on Wednesday but was wondering if anyone else has run into this. I know there was a problem with some trying to update to 15.4, but not 15.5.

Took it to the apple store and they were able to update it. Some kind of conflict with my computer. Apple phone support before I took it in went through several steps including disabling my anti-virus software. Wonder if next time if I plug it into my Macbook Pro if it will update if I have this problem again.

Was able to update after serveral reboots with my Macbook Air M1 while the studio display was plugged in.

when you say reboot, just restarting the computer multiple times? i have this same issue and "waiting on engineering department" for days! used it on saturday for 2 hours, updated and dead. super annoying.
