How to get my Mac the suggest a keychain password?

Hello all,

How do I get my Mac or an iOS device to suggest me a password?

There are times when my computer does not do it. Below is a good example. Here I am trying to change a password and I want Keychain to suggest me a strong password, however, it is not.

Using the Safari browser on an M1 Max.

Mac Studio, macOS 12.4

The problem isn't Apple Keychain, but rather how the website is coded. If you look under the grey question mark you can actually see the key symbol to suggest (or fill in) a password.

A lot of websites do this and the key icon is blocked. You can try clicking to the bottom left of that question mark and attempt to click the key, but it won't always work.

There are sometimes, however, where Apple Keychain won't recognize a login form.

You'll need to just create the password in your Settings (iOS) and then copy and paste the password in when signing up.
