How to recover removed iphone to my apple ID

I lost my phone awhile back. I accidentally removed that phone from my apple ID, instead of erased it. I'm afraid if someone find/have that phone, they can still see some info on my phone (photos, old message, apps). Is there any way that I can recover that phone to my account remotely, so I can erase all the data.
