iPhone and iPad photos not syncing

When I go to turn on iCloud photos on my iPhone I get a message saying that Photos Synced from Finder will be Removed.

I’ve never heard of Finder but am scared of losing any photos on my iPhone.

Any suggestions please?

This means you synced photos from what used to be called iTunes on your Mac, but is now controlled by Finder on your Mac, to your iPhone.
