I forgot the admin password on another macbook pro

My daughter has a macbook Pro, where we initially set her up as a user. However we need to do updates to the system (standard SW upgrades). She's been using this Macbook long enough that we've failed to remember the passcode to the admin user on the system. How best to recover this?
