In a conversation that I’ve been having with someone, the incoming messages have disappeared but their small photo is still showing. It’s only with one person. My messages are still there. I can’t message them now.

Disappearing messages??? Why is my iMessages between my friend and I always disappearing? My messages are set to keep forever yet when I scroll up, the messages cut off to the conversation we had today and when im trying to scroll up to look for something i just simply can’t? How do I fix this?
