Apple Watch ring and alert tones

I have special ringtones, message tones, calendar alert tones, To Do Reminder tones etc., (all different bird songs) on my iPhone. But my Watch will only play the generic tones even though I have mirror my iPhone turned on. If I am wearing my watch, the alert tones come from it and not my phone, so I don't get the pleasure of hearing my birdsongs. I have to turn off notifications on my watch to get to hear them on my phone, which kind of really diminishes the utility of the watch. Does anyone know how to do a work around. I know the watch is capable of producing more complex sounds since you can talk on it, and it has plenty of memory.
