Disable WiFi 6 On M1 Mac

Is there a way to disable Wifi 6 on M1 Macs? My office is 1 story, but sprawling. There is 1 WiFi 6 AP that's located in the opposite corner of the office. I head to that side of the office on occasion. When I do, my M1 Mac connects to the AP seamlessly. The problem is, with the range on WiFi 6, IT DOESN'T LET GO! So when I head back to my desk, I get the poorest connectivity (<50kbps where I get ~500mbps on average).

You have choices:

  1. Use a USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet adapter at your Desk, and disable Wi-Fi.
  2. If there is another Wi-Fi AP available near your Desk with stronger signal, manually connect to it.

Set up different locations in the System Preferences > Network panel. 1) for the Wi-Fi 6 AP, and 2) Items 1 or 2 above as appropriate when back at your Desk. Should be as simple as clicking the location of your choice to reconfigure your network settings.
