The Apple Music Desktop App (formerly itunes) isn't recognizing my library

Hello,

I lost a very important playlist so I tried to use Timemachine to restore an older version of the Music Library file in Apple Music (the desktop app - worst idea ever was merging the name of these two things)

Now, my Itunes shows no playlists at all and no library. My music library still exists, in its old iTunes older, and Music points correctly to this folder.

But all my playlists, etc are missing in addition to any info on the music (last played etc.)

I would love to deinstall and reisntall the (already buggy) app but that's not an option. How do I restore the app to how it was (library, info etc.)?

When using Time Machine to restore the state of the Music Library.musiclibrary database you would typically choose a restore point shortly before the incident when you deleted a playlist in error. You would then option-start-Music and explicitly choose the restored database.
