Sony SRS-XB3 won't connect to MacBook pro

My speaker connects to my iPhone just fine, but I can't seem to connect the speaker to my MacBook Pro or to my girlfriends MacBook Pro. I can see the speaker in my bluetooth and I can click on the connect button but it either loads endlessly without connecting, or 'connects', as in on my MacBook Pro UI I can see that the speaker is connected and I can change its name and everything but it isn't available to me as a sound device in the sound settings on the MacBook. I've tried forgetting the device and connecting again but nothing has managed to solve the problem, I've also restarted both devices several times. If anyone has a fix let me know and if there isn't a fix maybe the MacBook engineers need to look at the bluetooth systems on this device/OS?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.4

Hi MobiAyub,

Do any other Bluetooth speakers or headphones pair with the Macs without an issue? Have you tried forgetting the device on the iPhone and trying to pair it with the Mac? Are both the Macs you're trying run the same macOS version?

We look forward to hearing back from you.

Take care.
