How to remove searchmarquis.com

I seem to have a virus on my Mac and I can't figure out how to remove virus. Is there an app Apple uses that we have on our computer? I have tried manually deleting all unknown applications but when I click Safari.com it automatically goes to searchmarquis.com even though my search engine is not searchmarquis.com.
