Supervision deleted Messaging app because I changed SIM card temporarily?
My supervised iPhone is managed by BlackBerry UEM client and I am not allowed to use App Store, iMessage, or FaceTime. However, I have been able to send/receive regular SMS (which are supposedly monitored) just fine until the other day, which happened to be while a personal SIM was temporarily installed in the phone.
Upon opening the Messaging app, it briefly came up but then shutdown as if it crashed, followed by the Messaging app. disappearing off the Home screen. Incoming SMS are now not delivered, and there is no way to send outgoing SMS also, as the Messaging app. appears to have uninstalled and clicking "Send Message" on a contact does nothing now. The Messaging app also cannot be located by iPhone search or add icon functions, so I think it is either really gone or disabled by supervision.
I put the correct SIM card back in the phone, but that hasn't changed anything. However, reviewing the supervision restrictions, I don't see anything new like "Can't use Text Messaging", nor have I received a violation notice from the employer that owns the device, so I'm not entirely clear if this is a new supervision restriction or if iOS did this on it's own after detected something wrong and quarantining the Messaging app.
Trying to figure out if I should try reset or something else to get Messaging back. Depends obviously if this was done intentionally. Or if there is a way for the supervising employer to push something to cause Messaging to re-appear?
