Changing Author Details in Apple Books

I have over so many books on my ipad in Apple Books, but for some strange reason when the books have downloaded some of the books, has the author's last name listed first or even an abbreviation of the authors name (ie Liane Moriarty books appear under Liane Moriarty, Moriarty, Liane & L. Moriarty) So when I sort by author, not all that authors books are together and it really bugs me (I am a Librarian after all!) is there anyway to update the author details? I know how to edit the title of a book, but not the author. I looked in itunes, but it only lists the books I purchased from the book store, not ones I've added myself.
