Low audio on new iPhone 13 Pro

Hello,

I’ve experienced a general decrease in the audio volume on my new iPhone 13 Pro (bought a month ago), a few weeks ago even the lock sound was super loud and now I can barely hear it.

Phone was never dropped and never touched water, I also have a very good case that doesn’t cover the microphone and the speaker.

Tried many ways to increase the volume and nothing solves the problem.

iOS is -5.5, by the way on my old iPhone 8 (iOS 15.5) the audio is still super loud.

thanks!

Hello,

Hmm, you should have it checked. However, first see these standard steps for low volume or no sound:

No sound:

1) Is the side silent mute button on? Does any red show? Slide it back and fourth.

2) How about the volume buttons? Is the volume very low? Move the buttons.

3) Is Do Not Disturb on? Go to Settings > Focus > Do Not Disturb. Is it turned on? Check the times.

4) Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics. Check the Ringer and Alerts slider.  Try changing the sound pattern for the type of alert.

5) Go to Settings > Notifications. Is the app listed?

6) Do other sounds work? What about phone calls? Music?

7) Volume summary:  Adjust the volume on iPhone

8) Do you have an Apple watch? Many of the notifications will go to the watch instead of the phone.

Note: you can send text messages to yourself for testing purposes.

Let us know if you get it sorted out.

Good luck.

Hey MrBill thank you for your reply.

  1. silent mute button is off, doesn’t show any red part.
  2. I used the buttons to put the volume all the way up.
  3. phone is not on “do not disturb” mode.
  4. Volume on the ringer is all the way up.
  5. In my case by low sound I mean keyboard click, lock sound and calls/texts ringtones.
  6. Music works very well, it’s loud.
  7. Yes I checked this page already.
  8. yes I do have an old Apple Watch, but I did try to check the volume yesterday with the Apple Watch off just so I can see how it was on the phone only.

I have the apple care+ but it’s really annoying to leave it in the store for some days as I should go back to the old phone momentarily, I guess deleting all my stuff from the current before leaving it to the store?

thanks!
