Back up Xcode Application

The Xcode Application is a massive download. Is there any way to back up the Application to install it on other Macs?

Thanks!

Easiest: if you download the xip file directly from the Apple developer download website, you can copy that xip around.

I don't usually copy the Xcode app bundle around. Just the xip file, as that's compressed and usually much smaller than the app bundle.

If you are downloading from the Mac App Store, other Apple equipment on the local network can potentially cache the download. That's obviously less reliable, as the download can and eventually will fall out of the local cache.
