How do I use spotlight on my MacBook Pro 16.2 which uses Mac OS Monterey 12.4?

does spotlight work in safe mode in MacOs 12.4? The Apple support says yes, but it doesn't seem to. I asked a few friends with macs to try it, and they confirm that spotlight does not appear to work in safe mode. Are apple support techs wrong, or are we doing something wrong? Note, we all have M1 macs, not intel, so I cant test this.

Rebuild the Spotlight index in ventura I am flummoxed ! I have installed Ventura and finding this through system Prefs is impossible !! Spotlight isn't there anymore 🤔 Can anyone with a good understanding of this new OS help me? Thanks in advance 🙂

Is there any way to get Spotlight to search in Ventura the way it used to in previous MacOS? Is there a way to get spotlight in Ventura to search the same way you used to be able to search in all the iso operating system? You used to be able to search a file by extension. I understand with all this ai crap spot light got a bit wonky. in the older versions of the operating systems I could just type . jpg . png . psd etc and it wouldn't give me all these Caterogies. Is there any way to get that back? [Re-Titled by Moderator]
