The new update tells me To connect my phone i have to install some update how ever every time i try it downloads and gives me an error when installing .

I got the same message connecting my iPhone while running High Sierra.
It looks like it installed some software to allow iTunes to talk with the newer iOS on the phone.
What is the exact error you get during the install?

this update keeps telling me that i need to install it to connect my iPhone to the computer but then i get an error that states it can not install
