I lost my AirPods 3rd Gen on 23rd May, and have looked for them ever since. The last location shown on Find My was on my street on the 23rd, I looked where it said and I could not find them. Sometimes, it shows that they are nearby and I can use the scanning feature to find them but I never end up connecting. How do I find them?

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! Have you attempted to play a sounds to help with locating them? If you are using an iPhone, you can launch Find my, tap Devices, tap on the missing AirPod then tap Play Sound.

Thank you so much for the reply, it is much appreciated. I have attempted to play a sound to help with locating them however my phone never connects to the AirPods, and so a sound isn't played.

It is possible that the AirPods are out of power at this point and unable to connect. If they're out of power, then there wouldn't be a means to play audio.

Unfortunately, if the AirPods are powered off, there would be no way to locate them.
