I have a 2020 Macbook Air try to update to the macOS Monterey. The picture provided is the screen it won't move past. I'll click restart and will say closing all other applications for hours until it gives up and tells me to try again. How can I fix this and still update my Macbook?

Is User profile accurate MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.3 Big Sur ?
1 - Suggest restarting in Safe Mode. This will perform a Disk Repair, clear cache files and only load Apple Software, extensions and fonts. The boot up will be slow and can take some time - Normal.
2 - Does the issue present in this mode ?
3 - Sometimes a Safe Boot followed by a Normal Boot will just put things right.
Have you attempted to close every app and then install?
If you can't close some apps, use Force Quit from the Apple Menu.
If you still have problems, restart in Safe Mode and try to install.
