MacBook Air 13 trying to update but have to choose a startup disk

I’m trying to update my MacBook Air 13 (2015)to Monterey and this shows up. It has been 2 hours waiting so I can choose a startup disk and nothing has popped up. I don’t know what to do please help.

Monterey won't install 2015 MacBook Pro won't install Monterey, it downloads ok and the install starts but after 17 minutes I get the message " there is a problem please try again" but I just get the same response. I have installed a larger hard drive a few years ago and don't have the old one which had problems anyway so is there any way left to upgrade my Mac?

Upgrade to Monterey not completing Hi folks! I’ve been trying to upgrade my MacBook Pro (13”, 2020) to Monterey, using an installer provided by my company’s IT organization. The initial part of the upgrade seems to go well, but when it comes time to restart the laptop, the restart hangs. The screen only shows the pointer, and the laptop never restarts. If I force it to restart with the power button, it simply boots into MacOS 11.6.3 (the pre-upgrade version of the OS). If I run the installer again, the whole process repeats. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the installation to complete? Thanks!
