Faulty Screen

I purchased my 2016 MacPro in Oct 2016. About a year and a half ago I started having the spotlight issue and the screen cutting to black if opened fully. I contacted Apple only to be told it wasn’t covered. I now find out via a friend that this is actually covered by apple. Unfortunately now over 5 years has passed since purchase and Apple will not honour the repair despite me trying to get it fixed well within the 5 year window.

Hi,

Yes, you are right, Apple says "The program covers eligible MacBook Pro models for 5 years after the first retail sale of the unit or 3 years from the start date of this program, whichever is longer"

You need to pay to repair of backlight issue.
