OS Update Requires Recovery Mode

For the last several OS updates, After the update is installed I get an error symbol of a circle with a line through it & the following address : support.apple.com/mac/recovery. After rebooting in Recovery Mode & running Disk Utility on the various volumes, I am able to restart my iMac27 & everything works just fine.

Is it possible to avoid this procedure after installing an update?
