Cannot update my Ipod touch 7th gen. with latest software update. Error message says "unknown error 400

Try updating directly on the iPod (Settings>General>Software Update)

I'm getting the same error, but can't update on my ipod since it will not turn on,, only to the screen that shows you to plug into a computer
