Update problem

My Mac is stuck on the checking for update screen, and won't download.

iMac 21.5″, macOS 11.5

Try booting into Safe Mode: How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support and see if the issue persists there.

If this computer is in fact running Big Sur 11.5 as per user Profile - there are several updates for Big Sur.

The current version is 11.6.6.

Terminal command below

softwareupdate -l

What is the output of this command ?
