Apple Watch wont turn on?

My apple watch has been dead/unused for a month or so now. I have been charging it for almost 24hours and it still will not turn on. The charger has worked for a while previously so I did not think that was the problem. Now matter how long I hold one button or both side buttons it still will not turn on. Any tips?
