screen time wont accept new apple id password

so basically I am trying to reset my screen time password but i was forced to change my apple id password, now when i try to change my screen time password it says its incorrect and denys my request, im on my 10th try and out of luck and prefer to not take the risk of having my iphone reset.

does anyone know why it wont accept it?

Screen Time passcode reset. *

If necessary, you will need to restore the device to factory settings. Do not restore from a backup made when the Screen Time code was active.

Restore to Factory setting. *
