What happened to the Airport Utility for Apple Routers ?

I'm running Mac OS 12.x (Monterey) and it didn't come with the AirPort Utility.

So, I downloaded the AirPort Utility app (6.3.1 from 2013), hoping to connect with my Apple router and update it. But, the utility will not install:

Is there another way to connect to my Apple router ?

I have used Network to look for the router, but it can't find it.

I can see it and connect to it from my WiFI ?

AirPort Utility 6.3.9 is included with Monterey.

If AirPort Utility is missing from Applications > Utilities, then your macOS install is seemingly corrupted.

Usual recommendation would be to investigate the cause of the corruption (failing hardware? Somebody shut off SIP and started deleting?), and potentially to re-install macOS to resolve this and any other related modifications.

It’s be better to start your own thread, as this is a quite different question. Mixed-question threads get confusing.

Here’s the utility documentation: AirPort Utility User Guide for Mac - Apple Support

The setup manuals for the various AirPort devices: Apple - Support - Manuals

Network configuration details will vary by the local network requirements and limitations, and also by ISP setup requirements.

You must have missed it. AirPort Utility has been built into every Mac operating system in the last 10 years.

Finder > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility (Version 6.3.9)

You cannot install older versions (6.3.1 of the AirPort Utility when you already have the most recent version installed on the Mac.

Worst case, you can always install AirPort Utility for the iPhone or iPad. It's free in the App Store.
