How can I REVERSE what Apple's GEMINI 2 App has done??? BIG Problem!

My Mac duplicates EVERYTHING many times. So, I bought Gemini 2 from The App Store. Now I've found that all my photos of items I've made in my crocheting hobby over many years are GONE. There are probably many other precious memories gone, too, and Heaven only knows what other damage has been done. The only thing I can think to do is put back all that has been removed. It is all sitting in Trash right now. I don't see anything like "undo" or "put back". Can anyone help me by telling me how to reverse everything this application has done? TIA. There are 19,635 items in Trash.

I would not recommend anything from the purveyor of 'cleanmymac'

third party software—https://macpaw.com/support

Look for any built in or in-app uninstaller and use that.

If in doubt refer to the developers website; Support/Help/FAQ/known issues/compatibility/updates:

Contact a third party vendor

if you mac is still messed up after you uninstall—you can restore you macOS and you user data from a backup

Thank you very much. It's a bit intimidating for an old gal like me, but I will follow your instructions and give it a try. I would just like to say this: It's really a PIA for "seniors" who were not brought up on this stuff to function in this techno-world of today. There are lots of other things to be done, too, so it is really frustrating and stressful. If it weren't for you folks at this Apple Support Community I don't know what I'd do. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP! (Btw, I thought that I was buying an Apple application via the app store. Wrong again, Obi-wan).

Then DO NOT empty the Trash!!

The good news is that items that are in the Trash can simply be moved to another folder by using the Finder. Open the Trash and then just move the files to another folder. (I suggest making new folder for just this purpose.)

Unfortunately you won't be able to directly "undo" whatever Gemini II did. You will have to move the files into a folder and then sort through them to figure out what you want to keep and where to put it.

I suggest recovering the files from the Trash first, before you do anything else.

And keep in mind that if you ever do an "Erase & reinstall of macOS" it will erase everything on your drive regardless of whether it's in the Trash or not. Only do it as a last resort, and only if you have a backup of your files on another drive.
