Music briefly pauses when adding to queue/play next

When I add any song to "play next“ in Apple Music while already playing another song, the playback cuts out for roughly a second. Then the app continues the song that was playing. It’s like the app is busy adding the song to the queue and can‘t play audio.

I think it mostly happens when you're nearing the end of the currently playing song (last 15 seconds or so)

Same occurs when moving songs up and down in the queue.

I tried different AirPlay speakers / target devices. Always the same.

I've experienced this on iPhones, iPads, Macs and on Apple TV so its definitely an app problem.
