I have been getting a lot of spam texts lately. According to the information I have searched on the web, I am supposed to click on the message and select "block sender." However, the option to block the sender of a text message is not present below the unsolicited text from someone not on my contact list.
How can I fix this issue?

Thanks, I'll try that next time I get a spam text. I do recall, though, that clicking on the sender didn't bring up their number etc. to block.
It's strange how the tech info one googles on the web often says to do things that don't seem to be possible when you try to follow their directions!

I can only block spam texts when I am the only one the texter is texting. If it is a group text, there is no option to block the sender.
Click on sender. Then, click on the "Info" button below the phone number. You should then see the option to block the contact .
That may be the issue. When I get spam texts, I am inevitably one of many recipients.
