iphone 6 stuck on ios 12.5.5

it says your software is up to date but the iphone 7 has ios 15.4.1 How do I get it to update?

The iPhone 6 lacks the hardware necessary for newer iOS versions, and is forever limited to iOS 12.

There are no hardware upgrades.

For apps requiring newer versions (iOS 15.4.1 is current), you will require a newer (used, refurb) or new iPhone.

Any recent iPhone will substantially exceed the capabilities and performance of an iPhone 6, too.
