Downloaded and rented movies not playing Apple TV app

Have had no issues playing movies from Apple TV app on Samsung smart TV until the last week. Both rented and purchased movies play for a few seconds then get an error:

Video unavailable There is a problem loading this video. If this continues, please check your internet connection.

The movies play on my phone though and all other apps on TV playing fine so it’s not the internet connection.

Help any ideas what’s happened?

It could have been a temporary issue at the source. If the issue persists, then it will be something else that is causing the Apple TV app to be unable to communicate with the intended remote servers.
