So I have my Apple TV already set up but it won’t connect to HomeKit by the add accessories - what should I do?

can't finish homekit I'm trying to connect my Apple TV HD to my homekit and after once connecting to home set up, it's now prompting me to "Finish Home Set Up". After selecting this, it says "Add This Apple TV to Your Home" again, and after follwing the three steps, doesn't prompt anything on my phone. I've also tried going to the home app and adding the apple TV that way but it doesn't prompt anything either.

Can’t add HomeKit to Apple TV 4K, Stuck on Add This Apple TV to Your Home I’m re-asking this because I’ve tried everything in the other forums & I can’t get my Apple TV 4K to add to HomeKit to make it into a HomeKit hub. Whenever I bring the iPhone close & click to add I get the “Done”’ message on the phone, but on the Apple TV I only have the message “Add This Apple TV to Your Home” and the spinner that goes on forever. Has anyone solved this problem? Thanks! —Vito

Add a HomeKit accessory to the Home app - Apple Support

If you can't add an accessory

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to the latest version of iOS or iPadOS.
Make sure that your accessories support HomeKit or AirPlay 2.
To use and manage your home in the Home app on all of your devices, sign in to iCloud with your Apple ID on every device. Then turn on iCloud Keychain and Home in iCloud Settings.
