Sending a document from Pages on an iPad by email.

How do I send a document from Pages by Gmail on my iPad?

Thank you, Phil012. I tried your suggestion, but it would not load. I had to call Apple Support and try a different method—going to Gmail, creating a new message and attaching the Pages document.

Are you using the default Apple Mail app or the stand alone Gmail App for your Gmail account?

If you tap on the (...) icon at the top right corner of the Pages app, then on Share, it should show the apps you can send the file to including the default Mail App and the Gmail App if it's installed.

Choosing either one of them, should then create a new email with the file attached.
