Apple Watch setup/update “error/malfunction “

Hi, I got myself a new Apple Watch Series 6 witch I’ve been trying to setup for a while now but without success.

In the beginning all goes well until it says it needs a software update but then it ends up saying I’m not connected to the internet, I’ve tried different internet sources but it keeps saying that I am not connected to the internet.

any ideas on how I can solve that?
