Ipad mini 4 compared to iPhone 8+ display any difference

I used an iPad mini 4 and an iPhone 8+. The iPad mini 4 causes me dizziness and burning eyes. I looked up the specifications for the display of each and couldn't see any difference. Am I missing something? Does the iPad mini have some different parameters for its display compared with the iPhone 8+. I saw some discussion of PWM but don't think that is relevant for these devices or is it? Does anybody have any ideas?

I wouldn’t call 23% a “small” difference. The larger screen of the iPad is indeed larger, but lower resolution. Whether or not the difference in screen resolution matters to you will largely be determined by the material that you are attempting to display - and your “perception” of what you see.

Offered in the spirit of ensuring that you don’t have any undiagnosed issues, should you experience any of the physiological problems that you have briefly described in your initial post, you would be well advised to consult an appropriate medial practitioner and/or optician.

Could such a small difference in ppi really be the decisive factor? I looked at that originally and wondered; but thought surely such a small difference wouldn't have any real effect.

In addition I would have expected the larger screen dimension of the iPad mini to have advantages over the iPhone8 - but in this case apparently not. Are the displays on the two devices identical apart from dpi and screen dimensions?
