If your Mac runs Catalina, Big Sur or Monterey open Finder.
- If you don’t see the sidebar on the left go to Finder/Preferences/sidebar and make sure all items are checked.
- Connect your iPhone with a USB cable
- Look under Locations in the sidebar and you should see your iPhone
- Click on it and wait for it to load - it can take a couple of minutes the first time.
If it runs any other version if Mac OS open iTunes; you should see an iPhone icon just below the top bar.
