I just tried Carbon Copy Cloner it won't work on my Mac cause I'm to old. "You have macOS 10.13.6. The application requires macOS 10.15 or later."
How else can I clone it?

I used SuperDuper to clone my Monterey system onto an external SSD and booted my Mac from it.
Thanks to all that helped me thus far. Now all I need is to put the clone on an external SSD any easy instructions ?
yes, I got CCC5 to run. made a clone. Now how do I makes the IMac to boot from it?
Hold Option key on power up to see boot choices.

I forgot one more thing. Can I set something to make this IMac boot from the external hard drive automatically? so I don't have to hold down the "option" key
