Will apple ever implement gmail push notifications for mail app for Mac?

I have 2 gmail accounts and I get notifications when ever I get a new email for either account on my iMac, iPhone and Watch. I use Mail as the client. Do you have Notifications turned on for Mail?

No. But if you want to make 100% sure you see emails from gmail - it can’t hurt.

Make sure you configure notifications for that account within the mail app. Don’t assume that it knows which emails you want to get a notification on.

These are fellow user-supported communities and we have no idea what Apple's future plans are for Apple Mail. Apple's product teams do not participate here.

Use an email client that has the functionality you want. You are not restricted to using Mail.
