Will apple ever implement gmail push notifications for mail app for Mac?

There are no push notifications for Gmail on the stock mail app for Mac.

How am I supposed to do simple stuff like doing my job if the e-mailing software bundled with my $999 extremely overpriced machine I just bought doesn't do its job properly by not telling me when I have received a new email? Its basically a 1000 dollar paperweight with a fancy lookin' apple logo on it. Woah. Big Deal.

So. Will apple ever implement basic features that any email client has like notifying you about an email incoming?

MacBook Air (2020 or later)

I have 2 gmail accounts and I get notifications when ever I get a new email for either account on my iMac, iPhone and Watch. I use Mail as the client. Do you have Notifications turned on for Mail?
