The latest driver appears to be for macOS 12.2.1. Have you tried this?

Thank you. I guess that the 12.2.1 driver has been tested with your 12.3.1. No change after a printing system reset?
It is really incomprehensible why relatively limited system software updates repeatedly seem to require new printer drivers. An often expressed opinion in these communities is that it is the duty of a printer manufacturer to provide updated drivers as soon as a new operating system version is presented. However, is it fair to expect a printer manufacturer to update drivers every other month or so? Why can some printer drivers be used for a very long time, and others not? Who is to blame?

I'm running 12.3.1, so I need to wait for Canon to catch up. Thanks for looking though.
