You can't. iTunes for Macs was discontinued and replaced by other apps when macOS Catalina was replaced and it cannot be installed on Macs that are running Catalina, Big Sur or Monterey. See the following for information on the replacement apps: What happened to iTunes? - Apple Support

Since iTunes is no more, can anyone tell me what the updated version of this Terminal command would be now?

sudo chmod +x /Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/MacOS/iTunes

I used its sister command (-x instead of +x) to disable the Play/Pause button on my keyboard, because it was getting confused and controlling the media playing in my browser as well as controlling my Spotify app. It was also always opening the Music app by default if I accidentally hit the button.

I regret that now and I'm trying to re-enable it, but I'm getting an error in Terminal:

chmod: /Applications/iTunes.app/Contents/MacOS/iTunes: No such file or directory

Which makes sense, since there is no app named iTunes on macos 12.3.1 anymore. But now I'm stuck.

Does anyone have any idea how I can reactivate the Play/Pause button on my Mac keyboard?

Thanks!
