Airpod volume unreliable & dangerously loud - how the .. does this happen?

So I just had my ears drums basically blown out by my airpods.

They volum was very low without any clear reason earlier, I checked all volume settings between Music and the OS etc. So I turn up the volume to a nomal level. Took out my Aipods for a bit & just put them back in and hit play...

BOOM Volume was at max across the board, like painfully loud..

How does this happen? How can I prevent it?

Hello Arthur Holstvoogd,

can you not turn the volume down? If that‘s the case, try forgetting your AirPods first.

>Connect to your AirPods like usual

>In settings under „Bluetooth“, find your AirPods and click the little (i) on the right

>Scroll down until you see „Disconnect“ button

>Once disconnected, click „Forget Device“

>Now connect again and see what happens

  1. If the issue still persists = Try second step
  2. If fixed, have fun

Second Step

Try resetting your AirPods. Apple has provided a step-by-step guide that shows how you can do it.
