my iphone storage is full and the phone will not let me delete photos help please

Show all recommendations.
Empty the Recently Deleted.
Then try again
Also check out the storage by app in those settings and consider uninstalling big ones which will remove data and history completely (Insta, WhatsApp, TikTok, the usual suspects)
