If you are using the Column Layout, control + click next to one of the column headers and select Flags.

Monterey On new apple mail, i seem not to be able to apply "flags". When I click nothing changes ont he header of the incoming mail. There are those annoying blue dots saying new mail, but no colored flags appear. What am I missing here? I thought for a minute that Apple had cancelled "flags" altogether, but no it is still there in the top of the page. Thank you.

Flagged messages not showing in inbox I am using Monterey 12.2.1 In the past when displaying all my messages, there used to be a flag next to the flagged messages. That no longer appears and the only way to see the flagged messages is to go to the side bar and click on the flagged message tab. I am not interested in always doing that and scanning through the messages. I really found it helpful to have a flag next to my message ij the inbox viewer screen. Any ideas? Whatever has been written before has not worked.

flag icon at left hand side of incoming mail has disappeared. How to get the flag back? I changed to OS Monterey today and the flag icons at the left hand side of my inbox mail has disappeared. I like to see which messages are flagged in the inbox. How can I get the flags back again?
