apple remote doesn't work

After replacing the battery, you may need to link the remote again to the box.

If your Apple TV remote isn't working - Apple Support

(Do both steps: the unlinking and linking.)

If replacing the battery doesn't work then reset the remote and apple tv connection. First unplug your tv from the power and wait for a few seconds then plug it back in the power socket and pair again your remote with tv. Or you can reset it by pressing the buttons of volume up and menu together. If it still doesn't work then contact Apple support.
