Can I connect 2 keyboards in different languages?

Can I connect a German and an American keyboard at the same time to my Mac Pro? And switch between them without any problems?

My MacOs is set to German, but I have some apps where I changed the language and the shortcuts to English.

Why? It’s sometimes much easier because tutorials, manuals etc. are in English and so are the shortcuts. So I thought about using two different keyboards (I already use a German keyboard).

But is this possible?

Sure, but to have the correct mapping you will have to switch Input Sources using the "flag" menu at the top right of the screen or the Fn/Globe key whenever you switch keyboards.

You may be able to do it automatically using something like
