I recently update my MAC OS from Big Sur to Monterey (bug mistake?) and now the fan gets loud. This can happen when just using Safari! Any thoughts?

Did this help? It did not help my situation. I am learning that my loud noise is due to having an external monitor. After much troubleshooting, if I have a straight USB-C passthrough cable and no adapter it does not run loud. Still trying to see what else can be done so I can use an adapter as I have two external monitors and one does not have USB-C cable capabilities
You should try it yourself. What may not work for one user may work for another. It's a rather unobtrusive procedure and might help.
