I can’t find my Apple Watch I believe it’s dead when I check my find my iPhone it tell me it was connected to my phone recently but won’t ping how do I find it

Finding a Lost-at-Home Device:
A. Ask Family Members:
If lost at home, ask family members if they have come across it.
B. Look in your Room:
See if it is under your pillow on on your desk.
C. Look in your Pocket:
It may be in your pocket, or maybe in the laundry basket you use.
But wat if I lost it when I put it up so I don’t lose it and forgot where I put it in the house
But can a dead watch still pop up on the find my phone… thing?
My watch club members use a metal detector as a dead watch cannot transmit a signal of any kind.
